An editable project timeline
Your team can shape the plan around its own delivery process. Authorized project managers can:
- Add, rename and edit phases, activities and milestones.
- Set owners, planned start and finish dates, and dependencies.
- Drag activities or resize their finish dates, then review dependent date changes before confirming.
- Choose day, week or month views, filter the work and expand the chart to full screen.
- Save a baseline to compare planned dates with the current schedule.
Set the working days and timezone when you create the plan. Once activities exist, the working-day calendar stays fixed to keep dependent dates consistent. Completed work and approvals remain protected.
Connect the schedule to real UAT work
Link planning activities to requirements, test cases, runs, executions and defects. Projects using training can also link programs, reports and surveys.
Linked work keeps its original workflow. A run’s recorded-outcome coverage is different from its pass rate, and an acceptance milestone linked to a run waits for its actual approved sign-off. Planning dates do not replace the record of when testing happened.

- Create phases for requirements review, acceptance testing, fixes and retesting.
- Assign owners and dates, then connect work that must finish before the next activity starts.
- Link the test run and defect work so the plan reflects their current state.
- Add an acceptance milestone and save a baseline before execution begins.
- Review progress and overdue work, then export the schedule for stakeholders.
Follow deadlines and share the plan
Owners receive in-app assignment and deadline notifications. The timeline highlights overdue work and dependency risks. Open an activity to review the linked record and update the work you are authorized to manage.
Export a filtered PDF timeline or an Excel workbook with the complete activity register and a first-eight-weeks timeline sheet. Exports capture the schedule at that point in time; they do not approve a release.
Gantt chart planning questions
Do I need to buy Gantt chart software separately?
No separate Gantt add-on is required within Verixa. Gantt planning is included in every plan, alongside the UAT workflow. Compare the current plans and allowances for your team.
Can a person change the Gantt chart later?
Yes. Authorized project managers can change activities, owners, dates and dependencies. Date changes can be previewed with their effect on dependent work before confirmation. Assigned owners can update progress on their own independent activities; permissions still control who can change the wider schedule.
Does editing the chart change linked results or approvals?
No. Linked results and approvals follow their original records. Program dates and survey closing dates are changed in those modules, while other planned activity dates are managed in Planning.
Can I start with our existing project data?
Yes. Create a plan for an existing project and select the records you want to link. Existing records are preserved; you choose the schedule instead of treating old creation dates as planned start dates.
